About Big Salary Flow

We build free paycheck calculators, state tax tools, and pay stub generators for US employees, freelancers, and small businesses — updated for the 2026 tax year.

Our methodology

Every paycheck estimate starts with the same engine: federal withholding based on IRS tax brackets and standard deductions, FICA (Social Security and Medicare) using the current wage base, and state-specific rules from each state's published income tax structure.

  • Federal taxes: IRS Publication 15-T (percentage method) and 2026 inflation-adjusted brackets.
  • State taxes: Progressive brackets, flat rates, and no-tax states modeled from state revenue department guidance (Tax Foundation summaries cross-checked annually).
  • Local & SDI: Where states publish statewide averages (for example NY local tax) or mandatory SDI (California), we include those in estimates.

Who we serve

Big Salary Flow is operated for US workers who need fast, readable take-home pay estimates — hourly or salaried — in Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, New York, and all other states. Our tools are informational; they are not a substitute for a CPA, payroll provider, or legal advice.

Transparency & updates

State calculator pages link directly to the IRS and to each state's revenue agency so you can verify rates. We display an "Updated for 2026tax year" badge on calculator pages and refresh data when brackets change.
